Jim Wishner, a St. Paul resident, is a veteran broadcaster. His gigs include stints at WOI, Minnesota Public Radio, the Associated Press, WOW Radio, the Public News Service, KDAL in Duluth, WIOU in Kokomo and, his sentimental favorite (and first stop) WLEM, the voice of the "Land of the Endless Mountains," in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Asked to describe "The Connection," Wishner says "expect the unexpected."

"Often politics. But, sometimes we focus on an author. Or cook. Or teacher. Or hair stylist (obviously much-needed, personally). I talk with people involved in, and passionate about, the issues and decisions that impact our community and affect our lives. We explore their perspectives and insights and goals. And, the practical realities of getting things done and affecting change."

"All, with a little bit of soul and a good sense of humor."
